My 12 year old daughter wants to start wearing a little eye makeup. What “subtle” colors would look good with brown eyes, blonde hair and a fair complexion? I have blue eyes and brown hair, so I am lost in knowing what she would wear.

Light neutrals (browns, creams, taupes) look good on everyone. You could get her a palette with 3-4 neutral shades. Perhaps some clear or brown mascara. At her age eyeliner is overkill, but if she insists stick with brown and teach her how to use it properly.
