Question by Greyshoeswalk: What causes the “crazy” look the eyes of someone who is psychotic?
Have you ever had a friend or reletive that was bipolar/schizophrenic, etc. and seen the look in their eyes while they were psychotic? The eyes just look really wild, firey, sharp and penetrating. Kindof like a rapid animal or something… (i don’t mean to be offensive to anyone.) How/why does this happen? Of course, the pupils are dialated a lot but it’s more than that…. and what, chemically is going on in the brain that would result in these crazy eyes?

Also note their eyes are opened wider than normal, so a lot of the white shows, and I think that contributes to the impression.
