I’ll give directions for applying the grey smokey eye shadow, but you can pair any darker and lighter eyeshadow to do this.
What you need: a highlighting eyeshadow (a nude cream color), a light grey eyeshadow, a dark grey eyeshadow, and a blending brush.
Note: the smokey eye looks better when applied after an eyeshadow primer. (I recommend urban decay’s primer in sin)

1. Take the highlighing eyeshadow and eyeshadow brush. Apply lightly over eye and up to the crease of the eye. Lightly dab the highlighter under the eyebrow bone for extra effect.
2. Get the lighter silver eyeshadow and apply on eyelid and slightly above the crease of the eye. Make sure that you blend your eyeshadow very well to avoid the eyeshadow looking too raccoon like.
3. Get the darker eyeshadow and the eyeshadow brush. To apply: start from the center of the eye (halfway) and work your way sweeping eyeshadow outwards. Again, go a little above the crease of your eye. spend about 5 minutes blending this to avoid it looking chunky or raccoon like.

You can go back over the darker color by dabbing a little of the lighter color on it.
The most important thing to remember when attempting the smokey eye is BLENDING. There is nothing more unattractive than a smokey eye that isn’t blended.
when you are applying the eyeshadow above the crease of your eye, try to blend the shadow in the shape of your eye.
Good luck!
